Last minute announcement -- In case you're free tomorrow, there are a
few seats left for the FCBA's mentoring event downtown. See the blurb
below for details. The cost is $25.
The 6th Annual Mentoring Luncheon will be held on Friday, April 8,
2011 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the law offices of Wiley Rein LLP, 1776
K Street, NW, Main Conference Center. The mentors will include:
Kathleen Q. Abernathy (Frontier Communications), Milton Brown (NTIA),
Ari Q. Fitzgerald (Hogan Lovells), Susan L. Fox (The Walt Disney
Company), Benjamin E. Golant (United States Copyright Office), Erwin
G. Krasnow (Garvey Schubert
Barer), Mark Lloyd (FCC) Ruth Milkman (FCC), Margaret L. Tobey
(NBCUniversal), Bryan N. Tramont (Wilkinson Barker Knauer), and Amy R.
Wolverton (T-Mobile).
Attendees will be seated in groups of 8 with two mentors seated with
each group. The mentors will lead a discussion at each table. There
is no agenda for these discussions; instead, attendees are encouraged
to raise any issues and ask any questions about career development,
mentoring, professional growth opportunities, how to become a better
lawyer, etc.
