The Communications & Media Law Society is seeking candidates for next
year's executive board. The time commitment is fairly minimal, and
it's a great way to build your resume and network with students, alums
and attorneys in the field.

note which positions you're interested in (you can apply for more than
one). Deadline: midnight, Sunday, March 27.
PRESIDENT
Oversees all Communications & Media Law Society functions and sets
agenda for the year; acts as the official representative of the IP
Society to other groups (particularly IP Brief, IP Law Society, PIJIP,
Sports & Entertainment Law Society). Assists vice presidents with
duties described below.
VICE PRESIDENT, FCBA LIAISON
Acts as liaison with Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA),
particularly the Young Lawyer's Committee; role includes helping to
organize WCL's involvement in FCBA's annual charity auction in the
fall and FCBA's jobs panel at WCL in the spring.
VICE PRESIDENT, ALUMNI RELATIONS
Plans fall networking luncheon for current and former students; event
is usually held at a downtown restaurant in October and planning
begins over the summer.
Maintains and updates spreadsheet on Communications & Media Law
Society alumni
Manages bank account and SBA-approved budget
SYMPOSIUM VICE PRESIDENT
Plays lead role selecting topic and organizing spring semester's
Founder's Day panel; planning typically begins over winter break with
event held in spring; responsible for promotion, reaching out to
faculty, recruiting panelists.
